What do the status codes mean?
- 200: the page loads fine
- 301 and 308: permanent redirect; ranking signals pass to the new URL
- 302 and 307: temporary redirect; don’t use for permanent moves
- 404 and 410: page doesn’t exist; update the links or add a 301
- 5xx: server error; if it persists, Google may drop the page from its index
