Keyword search volume checker

See how often each keyword is searched and how hard it is to reach the top results; base your content plan on data, not guesswork.

What data is shown?

Volumes come from Google Ads and are rounded values; look at the order of magnitude rather than small differences.

  • Monthly search volume: average of the last 12 months (Google Ads data)
  • Cost per click (CPC): the average amount advertisers pay for one click on this keyword
  • Competition: the level of competition among advertisers
  • Difficulty: a 0–100 score showing how hard it is to reach the top 10 results
  • 12-month trend: seasonal fluctuations

Frequently asked questions

Are low-volume keywords worthless?
No. Long keywords with clear intent have low volume, but the searcher’s need is obvious, and it’s much easier for a small business to rank high for these searches.
How is the difficulty score calculated?
Difficulty is calculated on a 0–100 scale from the link strength of the pages in the top positions. Low-scoring keywords are usually more attainable for new sites.
Why is there no data for some keywords?
Google Ads doesn’t provide volume for keywords that are searched very rarely or fall in sensitive categories; in that case “—” is shown.
