SSL certificate & HTTPS checker
Enter your domain to see in seconds who your certificate was issued to, when it expires and whether your site uses HTTPS correctly.
What does it check?
HTTPS is one of Google’s ranking signals; browsers show sites with certificate problems to visitors with a “Not secure” warning.
- Certificate validity, issuer and certificate chain
- Expiry date and days remaining
- Certificate covers your domain
- TLS version: should be 1.2 or 1.3
- Redirect from the http URL to HTTPS and the HSTS header
- Insecure resources loaded over http on the page
Frequently asked questions
What happens when my certificate expires?
Browsers open your site with a full-page security warning, and most visitors leave. Auto-renewing certificates like Let’s Encrypt eliminate this risk.
What is mixed content?
Mixed content means images, scripts or stylesheets loaded over http on an HTTPS page. Browsers may block them or remove the padlock icon from the address bar.
What is HSTS, and should I add it?
HSTS tells browsers to always open your site over HTTPS. If all your subdomains support HTTPS, adding it with a max-age of at least 6 months is recommended.
